Ms. Avila is an assistant managing partner at the national law firm Gordon & Rees (Westchester, N.Y.). She has intimate knowledge of the aesthetic industry, the nuances of the business and regulatory aspects of practicing medicine, medical spa formation, licensing and compliance with state and federal laws. Ms. Avila has served as a trusted adviser to aesthetic medicine practitioners, allied healthcare professionals, medical spas and aesthetic professionals. She provides counseling on issues such as corporate practice of medicine, fee-splitting, professional liabilities, employment law and regulatory compliance. She works with medical professionals to develop and improve their regulatory operations in ways that align with their business objectives. She is a frequent lecturer at global aesthetic conferences and has published numerous articles in aesthetic magazines.
